Allow Time To Be

We saw earlier that time is inert; is it and we get to utilize it in any way we choose. One thing that we (As humans) tend to forget is the amount of time it takes to get results or really good at something.

Take for instance a great professional basketball player, or football player, or a professional pistol competitor. We watch them in awe, perhaps even get excited to do some of the same things we just looked at and go and start on a new adventure. After two or three times or a couple of weeks we aren’t nearly as good as the people we watched and we may get disappointed. Well, I put in 100% all this new time.

What we have been deluded into is not realizing how many years, how many fundamental actions those people have performed (Often failing along the way) before we got to see them on TV. How about great guitar players. Some may have heard of Steve Vai. Phenomenal is a gross understatement. When he was younger, he would lock himself into his room and not let himself out until he felt he mastered a particular technique. How many times did he do that I wonder?

So, our emotions and excitement and goal setting are to be complimented and praised. And they need to be augmented with discipline and LOTS of patience.

We will get to where we want to be; it is guaranteed if we stay constant and not allow ourselves to be swayed away from our vision. It’s OK if things take awhile; it gives us time to assimilate the journey and actually enjoy all of the blessings along the way.

Enjoy YOUR journey. Enjoy deciding what will enrich and enhance your life and enjoy the whole process of time.

Until next time.
